Scouts BSA Girl Units at Canyon Camp

For more than eighty years, Scouting programs at Canyon Camp have equipped youth with the tools to prepare them for life. Now, as we look forward to the launch of the new Scouts BSA program, we are all charged with delivering the character development and values-based leadership that Scouting now promises to both boys and girls.

With the launch of the new Scouts BSA program, Canyon Camp has fully integrated programming for all Scouts BSA troops at camp. Using the same curriculum as the Boy Scout program, Scouts BSA is a single gender program – all girl troops or all boy troops. This unique approach allows the BSA to maintain the integrity of the single-gender model while also delivering a quality program and providing character and leadership opportunities for both boys and girls.

 

Canyon Camp has established a camping strategy to ensure that every Scout receives an unparalleled and quality Scouting experience.  For more detailed information on our summer camp program head over to the PROGRAM AREAS and RESOURCES pages!  Some camps have decided to have separate male / female weeks.  We have taken the approach of having all units at camp together with separate sleeping areas per BSA standards.
